"Updated this from my 5 star review 9 months ago. My rates doubled without any notice or explanation. No accidents, just increased rates. I was told when I called to get an explanation that my rates would go up by $299 due to the economy. I know rates can be affected by other drivers which I do not think is right. Punish the unsafe unlucky drivers, not everyone else. Spoke with 3 different national phone agents including someone from the actual office to cancel my policy. I joined Geico expeditiously. Raising rates is one thing. Doubling rates without an explanation to your customers feels unethical and untrustworthy which is why I switched after about 3 years."
